As like every civilization,Ladakh too had its architecture , that architecture was different in many ways and suitable according to the conditions and need of the people keeping in mind the available materials and harsh winter conditions. But unfortunately due to modernization, like every place on earth cement concrete has taken the place of most construction materials even though they are not suitable in Ladakh as per the conditions here.
