This festival symbolizes the new year in Ladakhi culture and its celebrated all over Lddakh with zest and enthusiasm. The Mela or Ltanmo (show) is celebrated all over ladakh and the most famous is the Ltanmo at Skurbuchan. In this Ltanmo dancers dressed in various characters dance through out the day.
