This photo was taken on the way to  Village Sharchay Kargil Ladakh. This village is one of the last places left in Kargil Ladakh which is to connected by road. To reach this Village one has to hike for around 1-2 hours depending on your speed and strength. This Channel/Valley is actually the only way to get to Sharchay.
